Genius Incubator in association with The Private Equity & Venture Capital Club of London Business School invites early-stage and growth-stage entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, LBS students and alumni to their Venture Lab.

4 London based Venture Capitalists will explain the mechanics of venture capital industry and speak on topics relevant to entrepreneurs looking to raise external capital:

Each VC will speak for 30 minutes followed by Q&A

Charles Grimsdale, Partner & Co-Founder Eden Ventures

Charles was the Founder of On Demand distribution (OD2), a digital music distribution provider which powers the digital music services of many major online brands, which was acquired by Loudeye in 2004 and subsequently by Nokia in 2006. Charles spends most of his time looking at opportunities in the digital media space. Charles is responsible for Eden's investments in Basekit, blinkBox, Secerno, theFilter and We7. Charles is also on Seedcamp's selection panel.

Hussein Kanji, Ex Accel Partners

Hussein spent four years with Accel Partners in Europe, where he invested in Playfish, United Mobile, BountyJobs, Dapper, Netvibes and a still-in-stealth-mode open source risk management startup. A background in Silicon Valley and in enterprise software and consumer internet products influences his venture capital work. He was involved with the Accel's investments in Dapper, Netvibes, Njini and The Cloud, and was an observer on the boards of The Cloud and Njini . Prior to joining Accel, Hussein held several roles at Microsoft Corporation, where he was involved in a leadership program won for his work on its speech recognition business, Sun Microsystems and a bevy of startups. He has an MBA from London Business School and a BS from Stanford University in Symbolic Systems. Hussein is currently a board member of Byhiras and Nivio, two startups in Europe, and spends his time between London and San Francisco. He is an avid blogger http://hkanji.com

Reshma Sohoni, CEO Seedcamp

Reshma joined Seedcamp as CEO from the Venture team at 3i. Prior to 3i, Reshma spent over 3 years at Vodafone in their Commercial Strategy team, working across the Europe and Japan footprints in marketing strategy and pricing functions. Piyush Mathur, Partner Frontiers Capital Partners

Piyush manages Frontiers Capital’s investments in the IT and Telecoms sector.  His portfolio currently includes e-procurement solution provider EGS Group and mobile phone recycling business Envirofone.  Piyush has also led some of Frontiers Capital’s successful exits including Budget Telecom, now listed on Euronext and Digital Route, a billing solution for Telcos.
